The Holiday

It was a bright, peaceful morning at tropical hills. Me and my brother Jeff were staying in an old cabin near the Rainforest.

It was the last day of the holiday and we were getting ready to go home. I had breakfast while my brother was doing his usual walk in the track around the woods. I had finished my breakfast and my brother was still not back. something must be wrong he is not that slow. I decided to look for him. When I went out of the cabin everything was quiet. I started panicking. The scene looked strange.
I stumbled deeper inti the woods worried about my brother. But I had to think about my own safety; I marked the trees I walked past. Finally I came to a clearing and I spotted my brother clinging to a rock. he is about to fall into the river. I acted fast and lifted him up and he was safe.

After Tommorow

Money is worthless. Robbers are raiding houses. Nowhere is safe in England.

"Today we are having cabbage stew" said mum
"Again" Taco said complaining.
As usual Taco was complaining.

The family was just eating like a normal day. Suddenly we heard banging on the door. Two raiders broke in one with a crowbar. They were hairy men with beards. They both had smelt like they had not washed for days. We sat at the dining table as still as stone. And sat there when the raiders stole our months supply of food.

Justin broke the silence " That's our food". A few moments later, the raiders had left. " We can't stay here Uncle Bob has died and Grandma has to look after the farm herself.

Today was a fresh day and the family had to move to grandma's house to help take care of the farm. We worked for hours and hours until the sun started to fade into the dark sky. "No dinner tonight; go to bed".

The next morning we went out to go harvest some apples for our breakfast but there were none the farm was bare and empty. The pipes were ripped up."We can't cope with this we have to move to Paris" Mom explained tiredly.

At night we were about to move to Paris then Grandma screamed "owwwww". She caught her leg and broke it.

The Bridge

One day there was a bridge. The Moose and the Bear was happily walking across it. Then they banged into each other they thought each of them were going to move but they did not move. suddenly there was a racoon walking across the bridge he asked politly for them to move but the Bear just threw the rocoon of the bridge. Next there was a rabbit but the moose did exacly what the bear did. the bridge suddenly tilted and both of them fell of and the racoon just bent over and the rabbit jumped over him and they both got across the bridge saftely
the end.

My Reading Goal

My reading goal is to look for clues to answer complex inference questions.

To succeed in my goal, I need to skim and scan. Find information that relates to the questions. Use clues to answer the questions.

My Key Competency Goal

My key competency goal is to relate to others by including others who are left out.

To succeed, I need to look around for people who are left out. Call them over or go and join them. Try to include them in activities.

My Writing Goal

My writing goal is to write quality stories.

To succeed in my goal, I need to take my time. Plan my work to keep it organised. Edit and add language.

My Maths Goal

My maths goal is to use place value to add and subtract decimals.

To succeed in my goal, I need to know what tenths, hundredths and thousandths are. To know that 3.2 is the same as 3.20. To use place value to add and suctract. 4.2+5=4+.2=9.2.
One little bird flew onto a wire then 9 more birds came they started fighting. then sudennly a different bird came onto the wire the other birds started laughing at the different bird. they moved to a along the wire and thought of a plan. the different bird flew in the middle of the little birds he was so heavy that the wire bent down they hit the bird and he went upside. then the little birds started peking on the different bids toes he fell and the little birds took off and fell omn the ground naked.

Gympie Gympie

Gympie gympie produces small, white or purple-red flowers. Male and female flowers grow on the same plant (monoecious species).
Gympie gympie has bright pink or purple, juicy fruit located under terminal leaves. Fruit is edible, but only after careful removal of the hairs.
Each fruit contains one seed that is located on the surface of the fruit. Birds are responsible for active dispersal of seed.
Gympie gympie easily breaks off its stings when touched. Broken sting penetrates the skin and acts like hypodermic needle which injects strong neurotoxin into the body.
Initial pain is not very strong. Unfortunately, symptoms aggravate quickly and result in pain that is often described as one of the worst that human being can experience in life. Skin becomes red and swollen, eyes and nose become watery, person experiences breathing difficulties and excruciating pain that can last for months.
Substance called moroidin, extracted from Gympie gympie, is responsible for the long-lasting effects of the venom. Gympie gympie can sting and induce intoxication even when the plant is dead.
Neurotoxin produced by Gympie gympie can kill dogs, horses and humans but not pigs.
There are stories which describe horses that were acting madly as a result of intoxication with Gympie gympie. Animals were dying in agony or even end their lives by jumping off the cliffs under the influence of incredible pain.
Some Australian mammals (green possum), birds and insects (weevil, chrisomelid beetle and certain types of butterflies) can eat Gympie gympie without visible side effects.
Antidote for Gympie gympie venom doesn't exist.

My keycompentcy reflection

I didn't do it because I clean my desk every Friday but it gets messy quickly. My next step is put my stuff in neatly.

My maths reflection

My maths goal is number bonds to 1000. I have achieved that by practicing with the teacher and at home. How I know is I have got all my facts correct.
